I have spent the last 25 years in the Finance and Insurance Industry and I am highly qualified in terms of South African legislation. This experience in the industry is invaluable when teaching a learner English whose aim is to serve in that industry. I I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and making learning fun for everyone. I have completed the Duolingo Test and scored 148/160 for English proficiency at a university level. This makes me uniquely qualified to assist students who aim to complete the test in order to undertake their studies in English. I will create an interactive and engaging environment where you can speak English freely and with confidence. I will not only teach the normal vocabulary that is needed but also the unique idioms and colloquialisms that native speakers frequently use, I will enable you to interact with native English speakers with confidence and ease.

I have the following qualifications:
BA Degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Criminology
BA Honours Degree in Psychology
Level 5 TEFL Diploma
FAIS Short Term Insurance Qualification

RE1 First Regulatory Examination: FSPs and Key Individuals Categories I, II, IIA, III and IV
RE5 - First Regulatory Examination: Representatives
NCA Qualification - Accreditation in terms of the National Credit Act

I am older than the normal applicants but with age comes life-experience which is very valuable. I am able to adjust my teaching style to suit every student’s level and learning needs.

I have two years experience in teaching street children and hospital staff alternative conflict resolution strategies and communication skills as part of my Psychology training.
