I am from South Africa. Studied Accounting. Worked abroad on Cruise Ships and visited 28 countries. Love interacting with different personalities. I am a native english speaker that realised the importance of the English Language whilst working abroad, this sparked a passion inside of me to want to teach English. I believe that my friendly nature combined with patience are qualities that my students will appreciate whilst learning the English language. I also teach yoga part time and like to live a balanced, healthy life...

As a professional, I am a confident, competent, disciplined, and responsible
person, dedicated to achieving a degree of excellence in all that I do. This is
accomplished by leveraging successes of past experiences, surrounding myself
with inspiring mentors and continually bench marking best practice.
My ability to think strategically, coupled with my organizational skills and ability
to get a job done, as well as my eagerness to become involved in diverse school
activities are part of my forte.

I am proficient in guiding children into learning by creating interesting
examples and models, developing novel interactive learning tools and creating
an enquiry centered approach to content that stir and challenge the young
mind. There is no greater reward than seeing the smile on the learner’s face as
he or she grasps a new concept or feels excited by recently discovered
knowledge. I am a task master; learners seeing improved results and realizing
that with effort comes reward is what I aspire to achieve with every individual
who enters my classroom.

If education is about the application of knowledge and intellectual skills, then
information technology is vital in today’s classroom. I embrace all the latest
technology available to work smarter and with more relevance to current global
trends. The Interactive White Board, the personal computer and the Internet are the
current tools that I employ. I look forward to the roll out of tablets in the classroom
which would further enhance diverse opportunities in teaching practice.
Knowing that success comes with teamwork, I consider myself to be a team
player and I am always enthusiastic about initiating and developing professional
relationships with my colleagues and with parents. In short, I have a love for
the teaching profession, and I have the right stuff to get things done.

Hello there! Thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Asiya and I simply love interacting with people. I find joy in spending time with others and sharing experiences.

In my free time, I enjoy staying active through sports and dancing. I think physical activity is a great way to stay energized and positive. I also make sure to work out on a regular basis to stay healthy and strong.

When it comes to entertainment, I love watching detective and comic series. There's nothing better than getting lost in a good mystery or having a good laugh! I also enjoy watching dramas from different cultures, as it's a great way to learn about the world and broaden my horizons.

One of my biggest dreams is to have a dog. My favorite breed is the Cane Corso; they remind me of my brother and always bring a smile to my face. But I know that taking care of a dog requires a lot of responsibility. Maybe one day when I have enough free time, I'll be able to bring one (or two!) home.

What's more?! I'm a dreamer at heart. I believe that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. Let's dream big together!

Hello, I live in the United States. I have grown up here and attended school here as well. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology. I have experience working in several different environments such as kitchens, stores and hospitals. I have lived in the suburbs and I have also visited many cities across the US. I have also seen much of the countryside as well so I have a lot of experience with what things are like in different parts of the US. I have met many different types of people and worked with them. I can incorporate these things into lessons and give some of my knowledge of the US to any students who are interested.

Greetings! My name is Lauren and I have been teaching ESL, Spanish, math and GED since 2010 as a volunteer tutor, a paid tutor, college faculty, and as a tutor program supervisor. I have made a career out of my passion, which is helping adults reach their goals in ESL and high school completion. My students will tell you I am patient, understanding, and versatile. I try to make lessons fun! I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to teaching. I value student-centered instruction and encourage students to set, and keep, their own academic goals. I have helped hundreds of students find the potential in themselves to engage in academics beyond the basics, and I love, more than anything, empowering learners.

In my spare time, I like to write, run, and mountain bike. I play bass guitar, host a radio show on KBOO Portland, and enjoy baking sourdough bread. I have also traveled the world and have three kids. I am excited to get to know you and help you reach your learning goals!

My academic journey began in Uganda from primary to advanced level. In 2003 joined Nasser international university on scholarship, obtained a bachelor's degree in English. 2008 got a nother scholarship in Academy of Graduate studies, Janzour-Libya ; embarked on MA in Applied linguistics. I also obtained several certificates from Istanbul of Turkiye in Turkish language, computer and administration plus other relevant documents. I am a goal oriented and always strive to achieve my goals as regards to teaching profession.

I love to travel and experience new cultures! I have taught in both Thailand and Poland before and travelled to many of their neighbouring countries. I enjoy teaching to a variety of groups, from children in the classroom environment to adults looking to work on their conversational english for work or just for fun. Outside of travel, I enjoy playing and watching football, hiking, and watching movies. In the classroom, I will always develop my teaching style based on your needs and preferences. However, I do try and make my lessons interactive and engaging so you stay focused!
