About me

Hello!

My name is Lisa and I'm from the beautiful country of South Africa.

I studied a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Corporate Communication and Cultural Studies at Nelson Mandela University. I have also completed a 150-Hour TEFL Course, a 30-hour Business English Course, an Advanced Personal Training Diploma, as well as an Advanced Digital Marketing and Brand Management Course.

I've been in the education industry for the past 8 years as a private tutor, facilitator, lesson planner, curriculum designer, ESL teacher, and language coach. I've also taught online for almost 4 years for multiple international companies, with students of all ages and proficiency levels from all over the globe, including South Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam, France, Italy, Brazil and many more. My teaching methods allow students the opportunity to gain confidence in my class, feel comfortable, and feel excited about the learning journey. I always tailor my lesson materials to suit student needs and make sure each lesson focuses on student pain points.

Besides being a teacher and language coach, I'm also a social media specialist and content creator. I love being creative and working with people, and this career combination allows me to do both. I'm an entrepreneur at heart and have my own business where I help clients with branding, design, social media management and more.

In my free time, I love baking, travelling to new destinations, jamming on my guitar, and spending time outdoors especially with the people I love most.
