My name is Craig Johnson. I have over 17 years teaching experience with students of all ages. Business and academic English, proficiency exams, tutoring, and more entertaining experiences as a preschool and public school age teacher.

I have conducted numerous communication seminars and interactive workshops, including presentations, interviews, persuasion, negotiating, meetings, small group communication, and more.

I graduated university with a 4.0 GPA (perfect grades) and the highest honors with degree in Communications Studies. I was the #1 overall academic student during my final year.

I strive for deep understanding of students’ inherent strengths and weaknesses, and am able to tailor and personalize the teaching methods to best assist them. My goal is to exponentialize student learning and study time value. For example, 3+4= 7, a direct 100% return (ROI), while 3x4=12, an almost 200% return. However, 3 to the power of 4=81. Learning English is a gateway to so much more in our global community. It opens up the door for work, play and building relationships across various cultures. I understand the the challenges and benefits of learning multiple languages. My experience as a qualified teacher has shown me that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages of being proficient in speaking English. I worked in Thailand as an English teacher for young learners, as such I know how to teach phonics, and use creative ways to encourage young people to speak the language. A typical Hong Konger, for example, despite 9 years of free English instructions, still has trouble with giving directions. It is impossible to learn something for 9 years without proficiency. The reason is that the teaching method is completely wrong. Conventional methods focus on teaching you to process languages with your eyes when we are naturally equipped with the ability to process language on aural/orally. Yet, aural/oral methods are few and far in between. Furthermore, conventional methods focus on grammar, because it is the easiest thing to teach, because you could look up grammar by yourself, if you haven't figured it out already. Sounds are much harder to perceive and teach.
