I studied a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Corporate Communication and Cultural Studies at Nelson Mandela University. I have also completed a 150-Hour TEFL Course, a 30-hour Business English Course, an Advanced Personal Training Diploma, as well as an Advanced Digital Marketing and Brand Management Course.

I've been in the education industry for the past 8 years as a private tutor, facilitator, lesson planner, curriculum designer, ESL teacher, and language coach. I've also taught online for almost 4 years for multiple international companies, with students of all ages and proficiency levels from all over the globe, including South Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam, France, Italy, Brazil and many more. I am a Youth Researcher with the University of Toronto. I work alongside youth, advocating for those without a voice. A project I have worked on recently was an Emergency Contraceptive Health project with Health Canada, giving my opinion on how the information provided by healthcare professionals could be more widely received by youth. This included updating their information on affordable options, helping products become more inclusive in terms of gender identity, how to get the message across to youth about how important emergency contraceptives are. I am also a mother! Teaching English to a very brand new human being has been quite exciting and has definitely given me some insight into different approaches to learning. I recently moved to Barcelona, Spain and I must admit, it is quite beautiful especially in the small town areas. I plan on returning to school for a different form of research, either Astronomy, Archaeology/Anthropology or Linguistics. I consider myself a student of life, we are all constantly learning!

Hello my name is Elaine, I am 23 years old and I’m an EFL teacher from Ireland.

I first discovered my love for EFL teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic where I completed a TEFL course. I have been teaching in a private language school for the past year, while I completed a higher diploma in English.
