Hello, I am Louise. I'm an Online English Tutor and teach English as a second language. I have a HNC in Childhood Practice and a TEFL Certificate.

I have worked in many primary schools as a school assistant since 2018 and now, I'm an Online English tutor. I have had a wonderful experience meeting people from different countries and supporting them in learning English.

My teaching is fun and engaging and I work at the students level or pace during lessons. I can help with reading, speaking, pronunciation and grammar. I use props, cards and the use of TPR - (Total Physical Response) to bring a more communicative approach to the lesson and allow the student to understand what is being said.

In Primary schools I have worked with students between the ages of 5-12 years old and this is the same online.
I provide lots of patience and encouragement. I engage in conversation to help support confidence and language development for students.

I am looking to build my career in supporting students in their learning. I am Scottish and speak English very well.

We can cover different topics, subjects, ideas, history, and interests in my lessons. Students can share documents with me to go over and I can also provide or prepare a lesson to suit the student based on what it is they would like to focus on.

I want to help students to achieve their goals.

I have a HNC in Childhood Practice which allowed me to support children in many schools. I was involved in providing learning activities and engaging students in their learning. English is a main subject.
In the schools I assisted the teachers when they needed supplies or materials to do creative topics with the students. I helped the children out in the playground with first aid and supported them in play. I took part in breakfast and lunch clubs, and also important meetings.

I also did some work experience with a Joiner/Carpenter. I have helped them for over 10 years. I would organise tools and materials that was needed. Lay sheets and tidy up areas after the job was completed. I have a good understanding of protective clothing, health and safety in the workplace. I also ran errands and took important phone calls.

I have been doing Online Tutoring for nearly 2 years and I enjoy it. I like meeting new people and supporting them to learn a new language and in this case it would be English. All of my students have been at different levels and are different ages but It's great to see the development and confidence shine through when they learn and feel good about understanding more.

I am a hard working person and motivated person.
