About me

Learning English is a gateway to so much more in our global community. It opens up the door for work, play and building relationships across various cultures. I understand the the challenges and benefits of learning multiple languages. My experience as a qualified teacher has shown me that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages of being proficient in speaking English. I worked in Thailand as an English teacher for young learners, as such I know how to teach phonics, and use creative ways to encourage young people to speak the language. Furthermore, my 250 hours Tefl course has enhanced my capabilities to teach across all other ages. I have been a teacher for more than 5 yrs and I am passionate about my career. I am a lifelong learner and I love immersing myself in other people's culture. As such, I would like to be part of that learning journey with you.

My education and experience

I graduated in 2011 with a Business degree in Business Science. I later traveled and worked in Thailand as a Tefl teacher in 2015. I came back to South Africa and completed my teaching degree in 2018, then started working as a teacher to date. I furthered my studies again in 2022 with the 250 hours Tefl course from Global Language.
