About me

Hello there! My name is Whitney and I am a certified EFL teacher, I have received my TEFL Diploma through The TEFL Academy, which enables me to teach English as a foreign language. I have been inspired to pursue teaching English because of my passion for literature and for making a difference in the lives of my students by helping them achieve their language goals. I am a Native English speaker and it is my priority to help you reach a Native-like level in English too! Learning a new language can be very intimidating, however, it is my job to make sure you are comfortable and enjoying our lessons! Look forward to meeting with you soon!

My education and experience

I have experience as an Au Pair to children aged 1-9. My role as an Au Pair was to care for young children. Briefly, this includes getting them ready for school, keeping them entertained in the afternoons, and helping them with homework.

Education • English Language Instruction

I have received my 168-hour TEFL certificate through The TEFL Academy. This enables me to teach English as a second language. I have been an English tutor to individuals within my community that need assistance with their English language skills. We covered a range of language skills such as speaking, reading, writing, and listening. This role has taught me great patience!
