About me

My name is Shanice and I am a South African national who is a graduate of Psychology (Hons) from the University of West London. I am who a multi-faceted, creative, passionate, adaptable and self- driven individual. Having completed my 420 hour advanced TEFL certification, along with my experience, knowledge, and my unwavering determination to learn, and make a positive impact.

I have a strong educational background, having experience working with anxiety, depression and ADHD through volunteer work and peer tutoring. I was recently employed as a primary school teacher at a private Marist school in South Africa for a year and a half year, where I was challenged to develop my communication, team work, adaptability, professional development, curriculum and classroom engagement. I continuously learned and grew through my experiences in the classroom where my focus was children with learning disabilities and behavioural issues. Through various academic courses, I have learnt innovative teaching strategies and creating a supportive and inclusive classroom.

My undergraduate degree has demonstrated my commitment to international development, critical thinking, problem solving, adaptability and communication. In this position I look forward to an opportunity to use my skills to deliver dynamic lessons that incorporate multimedia resources, nurture language proficiency and create an interactive student centered classroom that makes learning English both enjoyable and rewarding.
