About me

I am an enthusiastic, sociable and dedicated individual with a strong passion for educating young people. My teaching and learning experiences have shaped me into a confident and well-organised newly qualified teacher, equipped with exceptional communication skills. Inclusive education is a priority for me, and over the years, I have developed strategies to accommodate students of varying abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs. In order to do so, I have worked collaboratively alongside subject teachers, classroom assistants and the school SENCO to provide the best possible learning experience. Having completed my second year placement online using Microsoft Teams, integrating technology into the curriculum became a strength of mine, utilising iPad's and applications like Prezi, MentiMeter and Kahoot. My creativity has allowed me to use technology to create engaging, yet meaningful lesson plans whilst promoting active learning. Beyond teaching, I have gained valuable insights into the wider life and dynamic of schools such as pastoral care, child protection, and holistic education, particularly in the RE department. With a strong emphasis on teamwork and leadership, I bring valuable skills that would greatly benefit the school community. My track record includes planning and executing assemblies, liturgical services and charitable events that have fostered camaraderie among both students and staff. Moreover I have demonstrated my ability to create meaningful experiences for everyone involved, resulting in the formation of genuine relationships beyond the confines of the classroom.
