I am a TEFL certified tutor with 5 years of experience teaching adults of all levels both in the class-room and online.

I am a native speaker of Kurdish and Persian. I also have experience with German, ancient Greek and Latin in academic usage, as well as Turkish.

When it comes to teaching a language, there are many benefits to being a native speaker. One great advantage is that you never have to constantly think about grammar or in some cases pronunciation and spelling. Although this privilege can be a game changer in terms of fluency and many other things, it also prevents a teacher from understanding and experiencing the learning path and its obstacles as a second language learner. I have dealt with the same obstacles many times, and I think that gives me a unique perspective that I can use to be a better teacher.

I started teaching English in 2018 in Iran since then I have worked with various national and international language institutes. I have worked with a variety of students including Iranian, Turkish, Japanese, and Chinese students to mention a few.

I specialized in grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and test preparation for the IELTS and OET exams, as well as Business English courses.

My teaching method is based on three pillars: first what I have learned and practiced, second what I have learned from each student as I think each one is unique and needs its own planning and teaching approach; and third staying up-to-date with new teaching methods and never stop learning.

My hobbies are reading, writing, watching movies and playing videogames.

Hello my name is Elaine, I am 23 years old and I’m an EFL teacher from Ireland.

I first discovered my love for EFL teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic where I completed a TEFL course. I have been teaching in a private language school for the past year, while I completed a higher diploma in English.

I have taught students from the ages of 18 to 75, from all over the world. The thing I love most about teaching is watching a student develop academically and socially, I love seeing students with a passion to improve oneself and I am here to support that development.
