I am a teacher at the high school education almost 11 years old but I have experience in kindergarden, elementary school and University, the work is very demanding because I teach all subjects proposed by the Mexican Educational System for the proper accreditation of students; My work includes educational guidance, leadership in educational institutions, conflict resolution and attention to various institutional needs. Finally, I focus in the area of psychopedagogy and neuroscience to students with special educational needs through
psychotherapy obtaining rewarding results. I teach courses to teachers about Neuroeducation to promote stable
emotional, physical, mental and cognitive development to high school students through therapy, music therapy, nutritional education, meditation, yoga and brain gymnastics, among other strategies and innovative methodologies.

One of my longest and most remarkable experiences in teaching foreign languages was under the French Ministry of Education at a high school in Paris, Janson de Sailly High School. This experience brought me effective leadership and ability to connect with students by using information tools or technology. In this high school, I formulated lesson plans, created teaching material, and nurtured an engaging and motivating learning environment. My students always achieved successful learning outcomes.
Moreover, I hold a bachelor’s degree in English, French, Italian and Spanish languages, and literature as well as a master’s degree in literature, languages, and culture at University of Bourgogne, in France, and in Italy. These studies have served me well during my career as a passionate, flexible, energetic, inspirational, positive team-player, collaborative, solution- oriented and dynamic educator for students from 11 and 12 years old in Thailand and Madagascar (Africa); from 14 years old and above in France, and for adults in Canada and Malaysia. More recently my focus has been in the Thai education sector, where I have been teaching General and Business English, and French to college and secondary level students as part of their overall curriculum. One of my strengths during this experience has been my ability to work effectively with both Thai and Burmese students and develop them into efficient learners and successfully motivate them to make significant progress in their second language acquisition. Greetings! My name is Lauren and I have been teaching ESL, Spanish, math and GED since 2010 as a volunteer tutor, a paid tutor, college faculty, and as a tutor program supervisor. I have made a career out of my passion, which is helping adults reach their goals in ESL and high school completion. My students will tell you I am patient, understanding, and versatile. I try to make lessons fun! I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to teaching. I value student-centered instruction and encourage students to set, and keep, their own academic goals. I have helped hundreds of students find the potential in themselves to engage in academics beyond the basics, and I love, more than anything, empowering learners.

In my spare time, I like to write, run, and mountain bike. I play bass guitar, host a radio show on KBOO Portland, and enjoy baking sourdough bread. I have also traveled the world and have three kids. I am excited to get to know you and help you reach your learning goals!
