Hi! My name is Zachariah Holmes and I'm currently living in Bangkok, Thailand. I'm twenty-two years old and motivated to teach the English language so that people, like yourself, could learn the language confidently and use the language boldly. Some interesting facts about me? Well, I recently learned that I love making SPAM sandwiches. Wheat bread and mustard alongside Franks Red Hot sauce is my favorite combination when making SPAM sandwiches. My main duties included marking online assessments, submitting my marking to the department for moderation, releasing marks to the students and delivering constructive feedback to promote academic success. A typical Hong Konger, for example, despite 9 years of free English instructions, still has trouble with giving directions. It is impossible to learn something for 9 years without proficiency. The reason is that the teaching method is completely wrong. Conventional methods focus on teaching you to process languages with your eyes when we are naturally equipped with the ability to process language on aural/orally. Yet, aural/oral methods are few and far in between. Furthermore, conventional methods focus on grammar, because it is the easiest thing to teach, because you could look up grammar by yourself, if you haven't figured it out already. Sounds are much harder to perceive and teach.
