My name is Thaakirah and I am from Johannesburg, in the sunny South Africa

I am a qualified TEFL Teacher & have been teaching Online English as a second language to both children & adults for over two years. I’ve taught students from all around the world, from Russia, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Mexico to Argentina!

I love teaching because I can help you to improve your English skills, to make you write, read & speak English better. It gives me joy and excitement meeting learners around the world.

Teaching is my passion, so there’s no better feeling in this world than seeing my students learned something from my class.

After graduating in 2013, I embarked on a two-year adventure in North America, working in the Travel Amusement industry. In the personnel office, I assisted with hiring and onboarding, managing payroll, and handling administrative duties. Being far away from home for long periods of time, this position taught me to be strong, independent, self-reliant, flexible and resilient.

Upon returning to South Africa, I served as a Personal Assistant to a Managing Director in the Sports & Entertainment sector. This role enhanced my organizational and administrative skills, providing crucial support in a fast-paced industry.

I then transitioned to the automotive industry, where for four years, I thrived as a Sales and Marketing Manager. My responsibilities included leading a sales team, managing sales pipelines, orchestrating both boardroom and virtual meetings, and driving marketing and advertising initiatives across social media platforms. I also kept the company website up-to-date, attended expos, and ensured exceptional client satisfaction. During this position, I learnt various skills such as Digital Marketing, Marketing Communications, Critical Thinking and Creativity.

For the past three years, I have been dedicated to enhancing the educational experience of 200 first-year students at UNISA's College of Human Sciences. As a Teaching Assistant, I provided comprehensive support in navigating the online learning platform, announced critical assessment deadlines, attended online classes, and addressed student queries regarding the module and their assessments. My main duties included marking online assessments, submitting my marking to the department for moderation, releasing marks to the students and delivering constructive feedback to promote academic success. This position has enhanced my communication and time management skills.

To summarize the above, I bring a wealth of diverse experience and a proven track record of excellence in various fields.

I've been working as an English teacher for about 10 years in different countries, various backgrounds , different ages, From kids to adults . I've taught in language schools and in colleges . I'll help my students to learn English according to their needs . As a person who can speak 4 languages and have learnt some of them recently I can understand the struggles of learning a new language and try different teaching methods with having fun in order to learn the language . I can help my students in speaking skills, basic communication skills and pronunciation skills .

I am a detailed-oriented person who tries to get the best out of every student I work with. I have a strong sense of commitment to developing my students' skills. Through all years of teaching, I have been able to acumulate knowledge about what to do and not to do with each type of students. I have been instructing students on English conversation for more than 10 years now. I saw many of my students take the TOFEL test and get a score that qualified them for whichever college they choose to apply for.

Hi there! My name is Jenna and I am an American who is currently in the United Kingdom studying her masters! My background is in singing, but I am currently studying acting at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama! I have five years of teaching ESL, mostly online to students in China, but I also have experience teaching primary students in public schools. For the past year, I have been tutoring adults online in between my studies. I also have experience helping refugees in my hometown and helping them study for the United States Citizenship Exam. I studied a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Corporate Communication and Cultural Studies at Nelson Mandela University. I have also completed a 150-Hour TEFL Course, a 30-hour Business English Course, an Advanced Personal Training Diploma, as well as an Advanced Digital Marketing and Brand Management Course.

I've been in the education industry for the past 8 years as a private tutor, facilitator, lesson planner, curriculum designer, ESL teacher, and language coach. I've also taught online for almost 4 years for multiple international companies, with students of all ages and proficiency levels from all over the globe, including South Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam, France, Italy, Brazil and many more.
